About the practice

Therapy that's direct, grounded, and built to actually work.

I started Moss Counseling because I believe people deserve a therapist who's honest with them — not just professionally supportive.

Therapist at Moss Counseling

A little about me.

I'm a licensed professional counselor with experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and the kind of life changes that knock you sideways. I came to therapy because I believe most people are more capable than they give themselves credit for — they just need the right conditions to figure that out.

I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and am trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. I use what works for the person in front of me, not what's easiest to explain.

Outside the office, I value straightforwardness, physical activity, and time spent outdoors. I bring that same no-nonsense quality to my work — sessions are focused, honest, and built around making real progress.

What guides my work

The principles I practice by.

Direct, not harsh.

I'll tell you what I'm observing. That's more useful than reassurance that doesn't hold up.

Results over process.

Therapy should move. If something isn't working, we change the approach — not the timeline.

You do the work.

I can help you see things more clearly, but the change happens because you show up and put in the effort.

No performance required.

You don't need to have it together to come to a session. Come as you are — that's the whole point.

Therapeutic approach

How I work.

My approach is integrative — I draw from cognitive-behavioral therapy to identify and shift unhelpful patterns, acceptance and commitment therapy to build psychological flexibility, and mindfulness practices to help you stay grounded under pressure. I adapt the method to the person. Sessions are focused and purposeful. There's no script, and I won't waste your time.
